Sr. Analyst, Health Care & Social Services
As a senior research analyst, Kate Tussey is responsible for creating and maintaining content on the Health Care Opportunities and Vertical Profiles databases. She ensures high quality control on these databases, and conducts in-depth research and analysis of the health IT market in conjunction with state and local government markets. Tussey provides support to the Sales and Member Services teams for Deltek member requests, product demonstrations and training sessions respectively.
Previously, Tussey held a research analyst internship with the Republican Health and Human Services Committee at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where she wrote two original pieces of legislation, including a resolution to increase health care coverage for eating disorders and the Mental Health Awareness Education Program, both introduced on the House floor. Tussey also assisted with several other research projects, drafted bills, organized mail from constituents, and other administrative tasks.
Prior to that, Tussey held an editing internship with the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training, at the State Department’s National Foreign Affairs Training Center in Arlington, Va. She edited manuscripts from former foreign service officers and conducted in-depth interviews of current and former foreign service officers for an oral history collection.
Tussey holds a bachelor's degree in political science, with minors in Asian studies and Japanese language from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pa.
