Tim Brett
Director, State and Local Information Services
Tim Brett, director, State and Local Information Services, ensures that Deltek members are successful and efficient in their business development and strategic sales efforts. He manages a staff of 25 analysts who work on Deltek's State and Local solution, developing and driving content to provide up-to-date, tactical, and strategic information on state and local public sector procurements. In addition, Brett assists in the planning, marketing, sales, and overall support of the State and Local solution offerings at Deltek, and is also a frequent speaker at state and local industry events.
Previously, Brett was the manager of Deltek's Federal AEC Opportunities offering, which provided business development support to sales organizations of AEC companies selling to the federal government. He was also a senior analyst, United Kingdom, where he monitored and tracked all European Union IT Tender Opportunities. Brett joined Deltek as an analyst for state and local opportunities, where he tracked procurements in various U.S. states, along with other duties.
Brett holds a master’s degree in information systems technology from George Washington University, a CIO University certificate from the General Services Administration and a bachelor’s in business administration degree, major in marketing, from James Madison University where his focus was business-to-business marketing. While attending James Madison University, Brett was chancellor of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. Brett is involved in numerous committees and organizations including: TechAmerica, National Association of State Chief Information Officers, Northern Virginia Technology Council, and Public Technology Institute.
