Tucker Carlson is a veteran journalist and political commentator, currently working for the Fox News Channel. Carlson is also the editor-in-chief of TheDailyCaller.com, one of the largest and fastest growing news sites in the country. Carlson joined Fox from MSNBC, where he hosted several nightly programs. Previously he was the co-host of Crossfire on CNN, where he was the youngest anchor in the history of that network. During the same period, Carlson also hosted a weekly public affairs program on PBS.

A longtime writer, Carlson has reported from around the world, including dispatches from Iraq, Pakistan, Lebanon and Vietnam. He has been a columnist for New York magazine and Reader's Digest. He currently writes for Esquire and The New York Times magazine. Carlson began his journalism career at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper in Little Rock. His most recent book is entitled, Politicians, Partisans and Parasites: My Adventures in Cable News. In 2006, he appeared on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Carlson is currently working on his third book.
 

Alan Chvotkin

Executive Vice President and Counsel, Professional Services Council

Mr. Chvotkin is one of the most knowledgeable and respected experts on federal acquisition policy, legislation, and regulation in the nation. At PSC, he is responsible for all of the association’s legislative and regulatory policy activity. Mr. Chvotkin is also a founding member and continuing leader of the federal contracting industry’s Acquisition Reform Working Group, which was established in 1993.

In his early career, Mr. Chvotkin served as professional staff on the Senate Budget Committee and the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee. He later became counsel and staff director to the Senate Small Business Committee, and then counsel to the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Prior to joining PSC, he was a vice president of AT&T Government Services where he was responsible for managing key AT&T programs and opportunities; earlier at AT&T, he was the vice president responsible for the government contracts, pricing, compliance, and proposal development organizations. From 1986 to 1995, he was corporate director of government relations and senior counsel at Sundstrand Corporation.

Mr. Chvotkin is a member of the Supreme Court, American and District of Columbia Bar Associations. He is also a member of the National Contract Management Association and serves on its national board of advisors and as a “Fellow” of the organization. Mr. Chvotkin is also a two-time “Fed 100” winner. He has a law degree from The American University’s Washington College of Law, a master’s in public administration and a bachelor’s in political science, also from American University.

 

Brian Haney

Vice President, Client Services

As Vice President, Client Services, Mr. Haney manages all aspects of GovWin's Client Services group, leading a team of Account Managers responsible for providing analytical research support, training, technical support, and proactive assistance to GovWin members. In addition, Mr. Haney personally supports members of the GovWin Network™ their marketing and business development efforts. Prior to building and leading the Client Services team, Mr. Haney served as the Director, Research Operations for GovWin, managing research efforts for the opportunities and profiles product suites, including the collection, production and delivery of relevant technology market intelligence for the Federal, State and Local marketplace. He started his GovWin career as a Federal Market Analyst, analyzing both strategic market issues as well as specific procurement opportunities. Prior to joining GovWin, Mr. Haney was the Director of Research at Federal Consulting Services, Inc., where he managed federal IT market research projects, including market analyses, competitive assessments, and opportunity pipeline management support. He also served as the Director of Marketing for CEXEC, Inc., where he was responsible for managing all corporate marketing functions, including market research, marketing communications, and business development support. Mr. Haney holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University in Washington, DC.
 

Ken Nesbit

Treasury Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) for Infrastructure Operations (IO)

Ken Nesbit currently serves as Treasury Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) for Infrastructure Operations (IO). In this role, Ken is responsible for providing “effective, secure, and highly reliable computing services, for Treasury Departmental offices. He is also responsible for the policy, operations, and oversight of a wide range of telecommunications services for Treasury offices and Bureaus. This includes voice services, voice-conferencing, video-conferencing, and local and wide area network data services.

Ken held a number of Executive Level positions at the IRS prior to joining the Treasury CIO organization. He served as the Director, Requirements and Demand Management, where he was responsible for managing all of the IRS IT demand, providing business analysis requirements engineering support, assistive technology support, 508 compliance agency guidance, dissemination of employee directives and internal communications support. He also served as the Director, e-File Systems in the ACIO Applications Development, Submission Processing Domain. There, he was responsible for supporting electronic filing systems, including new development, operations and maintenance work for the Modernized e-File (MeF) system and operations and maintenance for legacy systems, electronic and management filing systems and the Filing Information Returns Electronically system.

Prior to joining the IRS, Ken served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, working as an air traffic controller in complex radar and tower facilities. In 1987, he entered the program management field, where he managed large mainframe Unisys systems throughout the Air Force, and was the program manager for the consolidation of 214 major systems to five dedicated locations. After retirement, Ken joined the Unisys Corporation in 1997 as Director, Testing and Security, for the IRS Service Center Consolidation program.

Ken is a certified project management professional and earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction in human resources from Faulkner University, Montgomery, Ala. He also holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University.

Deniece Peterson

Director, Federal Industry Analysis

Deniece Peterson, director, Industry Analysis, is responsible for leading the team that provides Deltek's in-depth member-driven research and analysis of government spending, market trends, policy and legislation, and business development best practices.

Prior to her role with Deltek, Peterson was a project manager with a small market research and marketing communications federal contractor, where she was responsible for directing market research and analysis, marketing communications, and training engagements for public and private clients. In this role, she also developed curriculum, provided instructional design, and served as instructor for a government marketing training course.

With more than 10 years of management consulting and research experience, Peterson has extensive experience in developing sales and marketing strategies for IT product and services companies. Her expertise includes performing strategic market research and competitive analysis, and developing strategic marketing plans to assist federal IT vendors in creating an alignment of the best products, markets, customers, messaging, delivery channels and partners.

Her prior experience also includes federal market research, agency profiling, opportunity identification and proposal support as an Independent Consultant.

Peterson holds an MBA and bachelor's degree from the University of Denver.

 

Kevin Plexico

Vice President, Information Solutions

Kevin Plexico is Vice President of Information Solutions at Deltek where he manages the delivery of Deltek's industry leading government market research and information products providing essential information and insights to over 2,800 clients. Mr. Plexico has responsibility for leading the industry's largest team of analysts focused on the government contracting industry. Mr. Plexico came to Deltek from its acquisition of INPUT in 2010. At INPUT, Mr. Plexico played an instrumental role in helping to grow the company from a boutique market research firm to the industry leading provider of market information to government contractors. Mr. Plexico provides thought leadership and expert opinion to industry executives and is a recognized expert on the public sector market. Mr. Plexico earned an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland and a B.B.A. in Economics from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia.
