The market in October for Justice and Public Safety, Transportation and Public Utilities (JPS/T/PU) has stayed relatively consistent in terms of distribution with an increase in overall bids. Transportation represented 57% of projects. Public Utilities represented 26% of projects. Justice and Public Safety represented 17% of projects.
Architecture, Engineering and Construction projects accounted for 40% of solicitations, a 2% decrease. Professional Services accounted for 11% of projects, a 1% increase. While Information Technology has continued to stay consistent representing 4% of bids released.
Pennsylvania, California and Texas had the most bids for the month in the JPS/T/PU market, accounting for 28% of bids released. Delaware, Vermont and Washington DC saw the least amount of JPS/T/PU bids with 1%.
There was a 13% increase in overall bids seen in October compared to bids released in September. The JPS/T/PU market continues to be an area of consistency and stability for bids in 2019.
Notable Solicitation Releases
- The New York Office of General Services issued a solicitation for a Fleet Maintenance Services Statewide (FMS) project. The scope of this RFP is the provision of Fleet Maintenance Services. Proposals are due by December 19, 2019.
- The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) issued a solicitation for a Law Enforcement, Surveillance and Security Monitoring, Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Recovery Technology Products and Services project. As a result of this RFO, DIR expects to receive and evaluate responses and select one or more qualified Vendors with whom to enter into negotiations. Proposals are due by December 18, 2019.
