The market in January 2020 for Justice and Public Safety, Transportation and Public Utilities (JPS/T/PU) has stayed relatively consistent in terms of distribution with a increase in overall bids. Transportation represented 62% of projects. Public Utilities represented 24% of projects. Justice and Public Safety represented 15% of projects.
Architecture, Engineering and Construction projects accounted for 47% of solicitations. Professional Services accounted for 9% of projects. While Information Technology represented 3% of bids released.
Pennsylvania, California and Texas had the most bids for the month in the JPS/T/PU market, accounting for 26% of bids released. Delaware, Rhode Island and Washington DC saw the least amount of JPS/T/PU bids with 1%.
There was a 44% increase in overall bids seen in January 2020 compared to bids released in December 2019. The JPS/T/PU market continues to be an area of consistency and stability for bids.
Notable Solicitation Releases
- The New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority issued a solicitation for a Crew Dispatching and Management System (CDMS). The objective of this project is to select a CDMS that is a best fit to meet all of the MTA’s requirements as described in these documents. The CDMS will enable rail crew dispatchers to perform their duties efficiently and effectively. Proposals are due by March 13, 2020.
- The Ohio Department of Public Safety issued a solicitation for an Ohio Emergency Management Agency WebEOC Reconfiguration project. The goal of this project is to improve and reconfigure WebEOC to allow for intuitive data input and a more organized method of sharing incident common operating picture, while better using GIS information. Proposals are due by February 12, 2020.
