As the nation seeks to contain the coronavirus outbreak, federal agencies are soliciting products and services to help during the pandemic.  The GovWin IQ team is actively adding procurements to its database that pertain to fighting the virus and supporting agency needs during this time.

To date, the GovWin IQ database contains 25 active procurements related to the coronavirus.  To identify these procurements I searched the database for the following keywords: COVID-19, coronavirus and SARS-CoV-2.  The search resulted in several hundred procurements.  However, many of the results contained notices of industry day postponements and new courses of action for existing acquisitions, rather than agency needs brought about by the outbreak. After manually reviewing each procurement record, I was able to narrow down the list to 25 procurements that are directly related to agency needs resulting from the coronavirus.

The charts below characterize this particular set of 25 procurements that we are tracking to date.

Types of procurements appearing in the database run the gamut from sleeping pads to disinfecting cleaning services.

Agencies are hard at work trying to combat this virus and help the nation.  Contractors in many different industry segments may find opportunities to assist agencies in their efforts.
