A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in August 2020.

The month of August saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over July, falling by about 5%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 68%, with the remaining 32% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Natural Resources/Environment, and Community Development. The three States with the most procurement activity in August were California, Texas, and Florida, while Rhode Island, North Dakota, and South Dakota had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The New York State Governor's Office of Employee Relations (GOER) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for Third Party Administration (TPA) of NYS-Ride. NYS-Ride allows eligible state employees to set aside pre- and post-tax payroll deductions for qualified transit expenses. Proposals are due October 15, 2020.
  • The Alabama Department of Finance released a request for bids (RFB) for Cisco Network and Telephony Products and Services. Products and services are to include switches, routers, network equipment and other core network type equipment, telephony software, video endpoints, phones and other core telephony type equipment. Proposals are due September 16, 2020.
  • The State of California, Department of Technology (CDT), on behalf of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), has released a request for proposals (RFP) for a Communications and Technology Solution (CTS). The system should provide communication services consisting of voice, email, e-letters, and video calling to communicate with family, friends, and other authorized individuals. Proposals are due October 28, 2020.
