A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in February 2020.

The month of February saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over January, falling by about 10%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 69%, with the remaining 31% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in February were California, Texas, and New York, while Delaware, North Dakota, and Vermont had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Audit Services for Maryland State Agencies. DGS is seeking proposals from Certified Public Accountants to perform audit services for state agencies under a new Audit Services Master Contract. Responses are due March 23, 2020.
  • The Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) released an RFP for the CADD Workstation Computing Devices and Monitors project. The state is looking for a solution that meets or exceeds the specifications of all four workstations as listed in the cost submittal appendix. The deadline for proposals March 25, 2020.
  • The Harris County Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) issued a request for proposals (RFP) to procure Financial Advisor Services. The transit authority is seeking reasonable and necessary financial advisory services in connection with the debt and related special financings of METRO. Proposals are due March 12, 2020.
