A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in June 2022.

The month of June saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over May, declining by about 3%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 70%, with the remaining 30% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three states with the most procurement activity in June were Texas, California, and New York, while Delaware, Vermont, and Wyoming had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Software Subscriptions and Application Support Services. The state is seeking is to procure software subscriptions in support of the FTB’s Enterprise-Wide Customer Service Platform II Contact Center Platform (CCP). Proposals are due by July 11, 2022.
  • The Idaho Division of Purchasing, on behalf of the Division of Human Resources issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Cybersecurity Training Services. The state is seeking a vendor to provide the tools, content, and management of state employee cybersecurity training for up to twenty-five thousand (25,000) state employees. Proposals are due by July 21, 2022.
  • The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), Office of Transportation Technology Services (OTTS) issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for IBM Mainframe and Network Disaster Recovery Site and Support Services. The state is seeking a Disaster Recovery Solution enabling the recovery and continuation of IT technology infrastructure, restoring data services and functionality to MDOT’s critical systems. Proposals are due by August 3, 2022.
