Deltek Pulse: General Government services month in review, June 2019

The month of June saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over May, dropping by about 20%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 70%, with the remaining 30% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in June were California, Texas, and Florida, while Delaware, Washington, D.C., and South Dakota had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

• The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) has posted a request for proposals (RFP) for a Cisco Unified Interactive Voice Response System (IVR).  CHA is seeking a vendor to assist in enhancements and to make additions and changes to the current IVR system. Proposals are due July 15, 2019.
• The Indiana Department of Administration issued an RFP to Modernize the Human Resources and Payroll Business Processes and Technologies. The HCM-Payroll Modernization project is focused on achieving a complete, efficient implementation of the State’s PeopleSoft HCM solution. The deadline for responses is August 15, 2019.
• The New York Department of Transportation (NYDOT) has released an RFP for Right of Way and Real Estate IT System Services. NYDOT is seeking a comprehensive COTS solution to replace the legacy Sesame system for the appraisal, acquisition, and management of property acquired for public projects. The proposal deadline is August 7, 2019.
