Shadi Shakibai

Shadi Shakibai manages a team of research analysts focused on identifying, creating and maintaining reports about federal contracting opportunities for Civilian agencies. Shadi presents webinars to the industry each year on the Civilian market contracting and spending trends and growth opportunities. She has been featured in FCW and Nextgov. She has over 15 years of experience in Federal and State & Local government contracting that spans across several areas, including market research, procurement, business development activities, vendor relationship management, account management, and product training.

Shadi has been on the Deltek Federal Information Solutions team since its acquisition of INPUT in 2010, where she previously held several other positions. As a Senior Member Advisor with Client Services at INPUT, she managed over 100 existing GovWin IQ client companies for small business, mid-market, and enterprise accounts. Shadi provided analytical research support, customized on-site and web trainings, technical support, and proactive assistance to customers. Additionally, she identified new business opportunities within existing GovWin IQ subscriber accounts. Prior to this role, Shadi was a Senior Analyst on INPUT's State, Local and Education (SLED) team, where she executed and delivered in-depth research and analysis on government IT market trends, business development best practices and emerging opportunities, with an emphasis on the Health and Human Services and Social Services vertical markets. Furthermore, Shadi wrote weekly blogs on significant developments and trends that shape the industry, provided analyst briefings to clients as needed, and prepared research reports for distribution to clients and prospects. During this time, she also served on the National Association of State Chief Information Officers' (NASCIO) Legacy Systems & Modernization Working Group and TechAmerica's Human Services IT Advisory Group, where she provided insight into public human services programs at all levels of government and contributed to publications. Prior to that, Shadi was also a Research Analyst on the SLED team where she was responsible for creating and maintaining content for the opportunities and vertical profiles databases.

Prior to joining INPUT in 2004, Shadi wore multiple hats while pursuing her master's degree at the University of Maryland. She worked internships, provided academic advising and outreach support for first-generation college freshmen, taught a freshmen course for the College of Education, and counseled clients on personal, mental and behavioral health, and career related issues at the University's Counseling Center.

Shadi holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD and a B.A. in Sociology from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
