ARMY’S CR2 PROGRAM - EARLY RECOMPETE & SPENDING ANALYSIS
Published: 01/17/2007
Description
The CECOM Rapid Response (CR2) program, administered through the Army Materiel Command’s Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) office, has a potential maximum value of approximately $23.2 billion over eight years. The program allows the Government to acquire a broad range of technology services – spanning from research and development to logistics support – and is not limited to defense agencies but is available across government. There has been speculation within the government IT industry that CECOM is considering recompeting this contract early – only half way through its potential lifespan. This INPUT/Output Powerpoint presentation report provides an introduction to CR2, looks at the reported spending on the program and considers what aspect might drive an early recompete.
