THE IT IMPLICATIONS OF THE 2007 GUBERNATORIAL ELECTIONS (WITH A LOOK AHEAD TO 2008)
Published: 09/24/2007
Description
Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi will hold gubernatorial elections in October and November of this year. Two Republican incumbents are running for re-election. The lone Democratic incumbent is not seeking reelection. Mississippi’s Haley Barbour (R) has a comfortable lead; the Kentucky race is tight; and a whole host of candidates are running in Louisiana. Electoral outcomes this year could be indicators for 2008 and beyond.
