The 2014 survey finds stabilized budgets and sustained CIO confidence. More opportunity remains for IT-driven savings in all operational areas of local government. CIOs remain insecure about their ability to retain staff and to hire strategic skill sets. This will call for more vendor support and automation to support productivity.
