Deltek Pulse: Justice and public safety month in review, July 2014
Published: August 05, 2014
July 2014 wrapped with 12 percent fewer solicitations released than June.
The start of Q3 2014 brought awards to several large projects, including Loudon County’s public safety technology systems project, which was awarded to Motorola Solutions Inc. Several agencies have begun moving forward with NG911 upgrades, specifically text-to-911 services. While this may seem like a small step, it opens the door for future NG911 implementation and system upgrades; therefore, vendors should keep an eye out for more solicitations for these services.
Notable RFP releases in July:
· Ohio’s consultant for FirstNet
· Vermont’s Prescription Monitoring System (VPMS)
· Washington D.C.’s next generation 911 consultant
