Deltek Pulse: General government month in review, August 2014
Published: September 05, 2014
August brought a 16 percent increase in solicitations from July, with more than 2,700 IT and professional services solicitations released. With September closing out the third quarter, it is likely that trend will continue and we will see more solicitations released in the coming weeks. Vendors should note the steady trend in education solicitations over the past few months. With summer closing out and a new school year underway, it is likely that school systems and states alike will realize the necessity of educational software systems to keep organized this year.
Notable projects:
- Washington state released an RFP for a grants management system. Proposals are due by October 3.
- Texas released an RFO for education IT products and related services. Proposals are due by September 16.
- North Carolina released an RFP for a device management managed service for the NC education cloud. Proposals are due by October 8.
- Maryland released an RFQ for consulting and technical services. Qualifications are due by September 23.
