Notable RFP releases
- The Tennessee Department of Health released a request for proposals (RFP) for professional planning services for the implementation of a modern WIC management information system. The state is aiming for joint WIC MIS/EBT implementation by 2017. Proposals are due June 29, 2015.
- The Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet released an RFP for Medicaid managed care organization services for all regions of the commonwealth. Incumbent contracts with Anthem, Aetna (Coventry Cares), Humana (CareSource), Passport and Wellcare will expire on June 30, 2015. Proposals are due May 5, 2015.
- The New York State Department of Health released an RFP for an all-payer database (APD) data warehouse and analytics solution. The database will serve as a repository of claims data drawn from all major public and private payers and can also be combined with clinical and public health data sources. Proposals are due by June 9, 2015.
- The Utah Department of Administration released an RFP for electronic benefit transfer (EBT) services. The incumbent contract with JP Morgan is now set to expire in March 2016. Proposals are due July 6, 2015.
In legislative news, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) on April 14 to permanently extend 90/10 funding and update the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Standards and Conditions, including a new modular certification process for MMIS components.
