The end of Q2 2014 wrapped with 25 percent fewer solicitations released than the month before. This lack of procurement activity in June may have been caused by the fiscal year coming to an end. With the fiscal deadline fast approaching, many states tend to put projects on hold while they balance the books; the opportunities have a chance to resume once the new fiscal year begins and funding is ample. Vendors should be aware that Q3 may bring more procurement activity than we saw in Q2, so keep an eye out for a possible flurry of solicitations in July and August.

Here are a few of June’s notable RFP releases that Deltek is tracking:
·         California State Lottery’s learning management software services
·         Indiana Department of Administration’s year-round identity confirmation services
·         New Jersey Department of the Treasury’s self-funded e-government applications and services
