Analyst Recap: 2011 NACo Conference and Exposition

The National Association of Counties (NACo) held its 76th Annual Conference and Exposition in Portland, Ore. July 15-19, 2011.

Several conference sessions focused on county technology initiatives and successful actions taken to keep above water while bearing the brunt of a financial crisis. Attendees ranged from pioneering IT counties to those without any IT initiatives, but wanting to get an idea of strategies they could possibly employ. All county representatives and IT leaders emphasized the importance of modern technology in allowing counties to do more with less.
