He has proposed to Congress several options for cuts and program eliminations for rest of FY 2017, which can be found in a document obtained by Politico here, according to eSchool News.

The proposed cuts are to assist in Trump's proposed increase in budget for defense spending and the proposed U.S. and Mexico border wall for FY 2018. The $3 billion cuts for education programs for FY 2017 are on top of the $9 million proposed in FY 2018's budget. The proposed cuts for FY 2017 still need to be approved by Congress.
