State and Local spending to support health and social services agency operations has shown a robust 6.5% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2010 to 2015.
The 6.5% CAGR was due in large part to the Affordable Care Act, but it is expected to taper off in the next five years to a 4.9% CAGR. In 2016, states will continue with their renewed, post-ACA focus on human services technology. However, in those states that expanded Medicaid eligibility, the focus is on efficient Medicaid systems with reduced fraud and increased data analytics capabilities.
