October brought a landslide of procurement opportunities compared to previous months, as the amount of information technology and professional services bids nearly doubled from September. November may see a flurry of procurement activity as well due to the fact that projects are rushing toward completion before the holidays. Vendors should be prepared for a busy November before the December lull.
Notable October releases:
- The state of Utah is fulfilling its automated tracking technology with an RFP for Kofax products assurance training and support. Proposals are due November 4.
- The state of Massachusetts re-opened a solicitation for IT hardware services, computers and servers. Proposals are due December 17.
- The state of Indiana released an RFP for social media management tools. Proposals are due November 14.
