Bruce Thayer
Principal Research Analyst
Bruce Thayer, Principal Research Analyst, brings more than 20 years of experience in government IT contracting, market research, and competitive analysis. He helped launch the Federal Labor Pricing database in 2004 and has been linked to the product since then. In his current role, he is responsible for helping Deltek members research and plan competitive labor pricing strategies to ensure their success in pursuing government contracts. He manages and maintains the Federal Labor Pricing database, which now includes more than 23.2 million labor rates. He also develops custom labor rate analyses and helps subscribers develop reasonable, competitive rates for small task order bids and multi-billion dollar contract vehicle RFPs. Bruce is also instrumental in assisting subscribers as they benchmark their GSA Schedule and GWAC pricing. Bruce was a 2024 Deltek President's Club awardee.
Prior to joining Deltek (INPUT), Bruce was a market research and competitive analysis analyst for the pricing division of ACS Government Solutions Group. He created and maintained a competitive analysis database and FOIA library. He also worked at Gemini Asset Managers as a contracts administrator and senior asset technician; and at Arbitron Ratings as a field office manager, recording TV ratings of the Washington, D.C. market.
Bruce holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. He was also a winner of INPUT's Chairman's Club in 2007, 2010 and 2011 for his superior professional contributions.
