A monthly recap of the SLED JPS/HS and Transportation solicitation releases.
After Deltek saw a dramatic increase of 57% in the number of solicitations from February 2017 to March 2017, the numbers came back down to earth with a decrease of 13.5%. To put that into perspective, the increase from February to April is still an increase of 35%. So even with the drop this past month, there is still a positive trend since the start of 2017. Other vertical sectors within SLED market also witnessed a similar slowdown, but still an overall positive for the year.
Of the bids issued, 65% were Transportation related, while the rest are Justice/Public Safety. Looking at what type of project was solicited, 31% were Architecture, Engineering and Construction based; 11% were Professional Services; and approximately 6% were Information Technology (IT) related. This breakdown is nearly identical to that in March.
