A monthly recap of the SLED Education solicitation releases.
The month of May had an 8% increase in the number solicitations released compared to April. The Primary/Secondary Education vertical is producing 55% of the bids released, while Higher Education is producing 45%. This vertical breakdown is consistent with April. Professional Services was a primary requirement associated with 65% of the solicitations released in May, while Information Technology was a primary requirement associated with 35%. In May, New York took the lead in releasing the most solicitations, marking the first month that Texas did not release the most bids in 2017. However, Texas and New Jersey came in behind New York. Nebraska, Idaho and Indiana released the fewest solicitations this month.
Notable Solicitation Releases
- The Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) has a requirement for a Learning Management System. Proposals are due on June 28, 2017.
- The West Virginia Department of Education issued a request for proposals for a West Virginia Grades 3-8 Summative Assessment. Proposals are due on July 17, 2017.
- Arizona State University has a requirement for a Learning Management System to deliver courses and materials to over 100,000 of the University’s students. Proposals are due on June 20, 2017.
