A monthly recap of the SLED JPS/HS and Transportation solicitation releases.
The Transportation vertical released 65% of solicitations in May, while Justice/Public Safety produced 35%. This vertical breakdown is consistent with April. Looking at what type of project was solicited, 31% were Architecture, Engineering and Construction based; 11% were Professional Services; and approximately 6% were Information Technology (IT) related. The project requirement breakdown in May was identical to April. In May, California, Texas and New York released the most number of solicitations, while New Mexico, North Dakota and Nebraska released the fewest number of solicitations.
Notable Solicitation Releases
- The Wisconsin Department of Administration, on behalf of the Department of Justice, has a requirement for the Wisconsin Radio Access Network (WI-RAN), an alternative solution to the nationwide FirstNet. Proposals are due July 11, 2017.
- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has a requirement for a vendor to provide a Modernized Vehicle Driver License System. Proposals are due August 2, 2017.
- The state of Michigan released a request for proposals for a vendor to modernize the current Corrections Offender Management System. Proposals are due July 14, 2017.
