A monthly recap of SLED JPS/HS and Transportation solicitation releases.

Within the Justice and Public Safety/Homeland Security (JPS/HS) and Transportation verticals, Transportation accounted for 62.1% of all solicitations released in June,  a 3% drop from last month. Justice/Public Safety saw an increase of almost 3%, coming in with 37.7% of all JPS/HS and Transportation solicitations released in June. The breakdown of the types of projects that were solicited in June for JPS/HS and Transportation was similar to May and April, featuring 31.7% from Architecture, Engineering and Construction, 12.3% from Professional Services and 6.4% from Information Technology (IT).

Notable Solicitation Releases:

  • The City of Indianapolis and Marion County Department of Administration released a request for proposals (RFP) for a comprehensive, fully integrated Jail Management System. The City is seeking a configurable, flexible, scalable solution to manage all areas of an offender’s needs from intake to release. Proposals are due August 4, 2017. 
  • The Iowa Department of Administrative Services, on Behalf of the Iowa Department of Homeland Security, has a requirement for Next Generation 911 Network Engineering. The awarded vendor will assist with the completion of the NG911 upgrade project. Proposals are due August 18, 2017.
  • The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development issued a solicitation for a 511 Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS). ATIS will be a means by which the Department can disseminate information, both broadcast and personalized, to the traveling public. Proposals are due August 17, 2017.
