A monthly recap of SLED JPS/HS and Transportation solicitation releases.

Within the Justice and Public Safety/Homeland Security (JPS/HS) and Transportation verticals, Justice/Public Safety accounted for 38% of all solicitations released in July and Transportation accounted for 62% of all JPS/HS and Transportation solicitations. These percentages are nearly identical to June’s breakdown. The primary requirements of July JPS/HS and Transportation solicitations saw Architecture, Engineering and Construction account for 32.3% of JPS/HS and Transportation solicitations, which was a 0.5% increase from last month. Information Technology (IT) made up 6.5% of solicitations, a 0.1% increase from June, and Professional Services came in at 12.1%, a 0.2% drop from June.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Delaware Department of Transportation released a request for proposals (RFP) for a DMV System Modernization Project. The project will focus on modernizing the existing Motor Vehicle and License System (MVALS Proposals are due on September 7, 2017.
  • The Florida Department of Corrections issued a solicitation for Statewide Offender Self-Reporting Services. At this time, approximately 39,794 offenders are considered minimum risk with approximately 12%-15% in Independent Reporting Status. The new system will replace the Independent Reporting Status system. Solicitation responses are due on September 19, 2017.
  • The Rhode Island Department of Administration released a request for proposals (RFP) for an Inmate Telephone System. The new requirement will replace the current system that is run by Global Tel Link, whose contract is set to expire September 20, 2017. Proposals are due on September 6, 2017.
