The Office of Inspector General (OIG) finds potential security risks in Alabama Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS)
The HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) has stepped up its monitoring of state HHS computer systems in accordance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) of 2014. OIG is tasked with ensuring that states have adequate computer system security measures protecting Medicaid data. Recent investigations have identified vulnerabilities in both Alabama's and North Carolina's Medicaid claims processing systems.
