A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in October 2017.

The month of October saw an increase in the number of General Government solicitations from the previous month, increasing by about 7% from September. The majority of the solicitations had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 69%, with the remaining 31% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Natural Resources, Economic Development/Regulation, and Community Development. The three states with the most procurement activity in the month of October were California, Texas, and New York, while Indiana, South Dakota, and Montana had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The City and County of San Francisco’s Office of the Assessor-Recorder (ASR) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a Property Assessment Solution. The current system lacks modern technology and the ASR is seeking more robust tools to support their business needs. The deadline to submit proposals is January 12, 2018.
  • The New Jersey Department of the Treasury has released an RFP for an Integrated Tax System (ITS). The state’s intent is to replace outdated information technology tax systems and infrastructure. Proposals are due on December 27, 2017.
  • The Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System (PMRS) has issued a request for quotes (RFQ) for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations Implementation.  PMRS is seeking a vendor partner that can design, build, and deploy Microsoft’s Dynamics software that can meet the requirements for the project.  Quotes are due on November 20, 2017.
