A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in November 2017.

The month of November saw a decrease in the number of General Government solicitations from the previous month, dropping by about 19% from October. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 69%, with the remaining 31% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Natural Resources vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Public Finance, Community Development, and Economic Development/Regulation. The three states with the most procurement activity in the month of October were California, New York, and Texas, while Indiana, New Hampshire, and South Dakota had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Delaware Department of Elections issued a request for proposals (RFP) for an Elections System Solution. The state’s intent is to establish a state-wide solution for voting machines, electronic poll books, an elections management and voter registration system, and absentee voting system. The deadline to submit proposals is January 16, 2018.
  • The North Carolina Department of Information Technology Services released a solicitation for IT Infrastructure Solutions. This project covers multiple IT segments, such as servers, storage, and networking equipment, and the state intends to solicit offers and select multiple vendors for each segment.  Proposals are due on December 19, 2017.
  • The Texas Department of Information Resources issued a request for offers (RFO) for Google Branded Products and Services. The requested products and services shall include, but are not limited to, Google Cloud Platform, Google Maps, Google Chrome device management, and value-added reseller services.  Offers are due on December 28, 2017.
