A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in February 2018.

The month of February saw an increase in the number of General Government solicitations from the previous month, growing by about 12% over January. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 69%, with the remaining 31% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Economic Development/Regulation vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Natural Resources/Environment, Public Finance, and Community Development. The three states with the most procurement activity in the month of February were California, Texas, and New York, while South Dakota, Vermont, and Nebraska had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) issued a request for offers (RFO) for Software Products and Related Services, Software as a Service (SaaS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software Modules Products and Related Services.  DIR utilizes cooperative contracts in order to improve the efficiency of the procurement process for use by authorized purchasers. The deadline to submit an offer is April 9, 2018.
  • The Connecticut Department of Administration Services (DAS) has released a request for proposals (RFP) for an Integrated Tax Administrative System (CTAX). DAS is seeking a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution that will provide a dynamic platform for workflow, automation, reporting, and management capabilities that support DAS and taxpayer services, including but not limited to return processing, collections, audit and revenue accounting. Proposals are due by March 19, 2018.
  • The Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS), on behalf of the Department of Banking and Securities (DoBS), has posted an RFP for Case Management Modernization.  The Department is seeking a product to streamline its business processes to reduce data duplication between different program areas and provide an outward facing portal for DoBS’ customers to submit and pay for applications. Proposals are due on April 5, 2018.
