A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in April 2018.
The month of April saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over March, decreasing by about 18%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 70%, with the remaining 30% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Development. The three States with the most procurement activity in March were California, Texas, and New York, while Delaware, South Dakota, and Idaho had the least.
Notable Solicitation Releases
- The Comptroller of Maryland (COM) issued a request for proposals (RFP) for an Integrated Tax System (ITS). This project is intended to replace the state of Maryland’s existing tax administration, tax processing, imaging, accounting, collections, and Abandoned Property (AP) systems. Proposals are due June 1, 2018.
- The Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System (MTRS) has posted a request for response (RFR) for Hosting Facilities and Managed Hosting Services. MTRS is looking for an updated and near fully-managed environment for the primary and DR instances of their application, as well as assistance with expanding services in the future. The deadline for responses is May 17, 2018.
- The Washington, DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) has released an RFP for a Modernized Real Property Tax System (MRPTS). The desired solution would be an integrated set of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products to support its real property tax functionality. The deadline for proposals is June 22, 2018.
