A recap of procurement activity in the SLED Health and Human Services market in May 2018.
Solicitation activity in the State, Local and Education (SLED) Health and Human Services (HHS) market in May was comparable to activity in April. The majority of solicitations released in May had a primary requirement of Health Services followed by Professional Services, and Medical and Scientific Equipment. The number of Social Services solicitations decreased slightly, while Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) had a slight increase. Information Technology (IT) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) solicitations were a comparable amount to solicitations released in April.
Notable Solicitation Releases
• The California Health and Human Services Agency has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the System Development, Maintenance and Operations (SDMO) solution for the California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment, and Retention System (CalHEERS). They are looking for a System Integrator to provide a System Development, Maintenance and Operations (SDMO) solution for the California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment, and Retention System (CalHEERS). • The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) released an RFP for Enrollment Broker Services. The HHSC is seeking a qualified Enrollment Broker to provide and operate a system that creates an enrollment packet, manages inbound and outbound correspondence and documents processing functions as well as cost effective services, including a system that collects enrollment fees and facilitates related accounting activities with transparency in its reporting of billing, cost, and other data to HHSC. Questions are due on June 8 and proposals are due on July 10, 2018.
• The Tennessee Department of Human Services (DHS) released an RFP for its Tennessee Child Support Enforcement System (TCSES) Re-platform project. The goal of this RFP is to migrate the Tennessee Child Support Enforcement System, a mission-critical legacy application supporting TDHS Child Support Services to contemporary technologies. A pre-proposal conference will be held on June 5, 2018. Vendors may submit their intent to respond until June 12 and questions related to the RFP until June 18. Proposals are due on August 17, 2018.
• The New York Department of Health (NYSDOH) released a solicitation for the Maintenance and Enhancement of the Web-Based New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS). The department is looking for a vendor to update NYSIIS to become fully compliant with federal recommendations and NYSDOH business requirements. In addition, the vendor shall implement ongoing activities that include expanding the scope of NYSIIS to collaborate with other NYSDOH health information exchange initiatives, such as the Immunization Bi-Directional Information Exchange Project. Proposals are due on July 9, 2018.
