A monthly recap of the SLED Education solicitation releases.

The Education vertical experienced some change and consistency moving into the month of May. There was a 16% uptick in solicitations released as compared to April, which saw a decrease, therefore Education solicitation releases saw a significant increase this month overall. Breaking it down by primary verticals, the Primary/Secondary vertical continues to produce the most bids with 65% and Higher Education saw 35% which shows a steady increase in Higher Education bids compared to the previous months in 2018.

Now moving on to changes within primary requirements and procurements by state; May saw some similarities but also interesting highlights. The values for primary requirements held similar for May with Architecture, Engineering, and Construction as the highest percentage of solicitation releases at 28%, Professional Services at 11%, and finally Information Technology at 9%. As for procurements by state, the highest number of solicitation releases for Education remained in New York, Texas, and California with New York boasting a 37% increase compared to April for Education solicitation releases. Lastly, the fewest releases came from Delaware, Vermont, and Montana.
