A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in September 2018.
The month of September saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over August, decreasing by about 15%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 70%, with the remaining 30% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in June were California, Texas, and Florida, while Delaware, North Dakota, and South Dakota had the least.
Notable Solicitation Releases
- The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a Next Generation Customer Information System. SFMTA is looking to replace its more than 15-year old passenger information system with new technology to increase efficiency and convenience. Proposals are due November 16, 2018.
- The Arizona Department of Administration released an RFP for Voice and Network Communication Services (AZNet III). The state is seeking a vendor to be responsible for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) voice communications equipment and services for approximately 49,000 users. The deadline for proposals is November 7, 2018.
- The Delaware Department of Education (DOE) has posted a request for proposals (RFP) for an Educational Single Sign-On Solution. The DOE is looking for a vendor to replace the current DOE Identity Management System by transferring an existing system, installing an off-the-shelf product, or replicating an approach that has been successful elsewhere to then enhance to the state security and access control needs of the state. The deadline for proposals is November 29, 2018.
