A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in July 2019.

The month of July saw an increase in the number of General Government Services solicitations over June, rising by about 3%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 71%, with the remaining 29% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in July were California, Texas, and Florida, while South Dakota, Delaware, and North Dakota had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) has posted a request for proposals (RFP) for Printing Devices and Managed Print Services. VITA is seeking solutions that include printers, multi-function devices (MFD), 3D printer devices, and more. Proposals are due August 15, 2019.
  • The Hawaii Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) issued an RFP for a Voting and Vote Counting System with Ancillary Services. The state is looking to lease a voting and vote counting system and procure ancillary services to conduct all primary, general, and special elections in the State of Hawaii in a secure, accessible, and convenient manner. The deadline for responses is October 11, 2019.
  • The King County Department of Executive Services has released an invitation to bid (ITB) for Temporary Personnel Services (IT). King County requires the use of skilled individuals to fill temporary vacancies on a short-term basis, created due to illness, vacations, extra work, etc. Responses are due by August 29, 2019.
