A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in April 2021.

The month of April saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over March, decreasing by about 3%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 71%, with the remaining 29% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in April were California, Texas, and Florida, while Delaware, Wyoming, and Vermont had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Operational Services Division (OSD) issued a Request for Response (RFR) for the statewide IT Staff Augmentation requirement. This contract will serve eligible entities who need to procure specific labor skills on a temporary basis to supplement their existing information technology staff. Responses are due May 20, 2021.
  • The California Department of General Services (DGS) has released a request for proposals (RFP) for Printers and Multifunction Devices (MFD’s). DGS intends to establish a mandatory contract to provide printer-based machines and services, including consumables, extended warranty, upgrade options and accessories, and value-added services (VAS). Proposals are due May 25, 2021.
  • The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance (DTF) issued an RFP for Electronic Payment Processing Services. Services to support various NYS tax programs include deposit; payment processing; account reconciliation; banking services; a Contractor-hosted Payment Database and Contractor-hosted Payment Applications; and transmission of data, reports, and files using secure data exchanges. Proposals are due July 22, 2021.
