A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in December 2020.

The month of December saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over November, falling by about 11%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 67%, with the remaining 33% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Natural Resources/Environment, Economic Development/Regulation and Community Development. The three States with the most procurement activity in December were California, Texas, and Florida, while Delaware, Wyoming, and South Dakota had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The King County Department of Executive Services has released an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Computer Parts, Peripherals, and Accessories. The contractor will maintain and update a product schedule in accordance with the original ITB and included product bands. Bids are due January 21, 2021.
  • The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) has released an intent for bid (IFB) for a Scanner Refresh Project. The goal of this project is to replace high-speed scanners in its mail room operation used to capture, in electronic format, data from paper returns, payments, and correspondence that have reached or will soon reach end of life. Proposals are due February 8, 2021.
  • The Mecklenburg County Public Information Department has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a Digital Experience Platform. The county is considering a digital experience platform to help modernize its use of the web for communicating to residents and for being able to quickly and effectively communicate during crisis scenarios. Proposals are due January 29, 2021.
