A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in February 2021.

The month of February saw an increase in the number of General Government Services solicitations over January, rising by about 9%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 69%, with the remaining 31% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in February were California, Florida, and Texas, while Delaware, Idaho, and Vermont had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) has released a request for proposals (RFP) for a Managed Services Provider (MSP) for IT Staff Augmentation Services. DAS released a solicitation to pursue a statewide agreement for a comprehensive MSP solution that will manage and administer a network of enrolled providers, a Vendor Management System (VMS), and the IT staff augmentation process. Proposals are due March 24, 2021.
  • The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) issued an RFP for an Identity and Access Management (IAM) system. NDE is seeking a system with Single-Sign-On (SSO) functionality that will allow for auto provisioning of accounts, new system linkages, dual authentication, and user self-service. Proposals are due April 6, 2021.
  • The Colorado Governor's Office of Information and Technology (OIT) has released an RFP for Avaya Voice Systems Maintenance and Equipment Purchases. OIT seeks a contractor to perform maintenance and monitoring of the state’s mission critical equipment which will include legacy phone systems but not limited to other phone systems. Proposals are due March 26, 2021.
