A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in June 2021.

The month of June saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over April, decreasing by about 9%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 69%, with the remaining 31% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in June were Texas, California, and Florida, while Delaware, Vermont, and North Dakota had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) has released a request for proposals (RFP) for the PeopleSoft Financials - General Ledger Upgrade project. ODT looks to have an upgraded version of PeopleSoft, i.e. People Tools 8.58 and FSCM 9.2 to handle Tax Revenue Accounting Allocation/Distribution journals. Proposals are due by July 23, 2021.
  • The Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services (ITS) on behalf of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) issued an RFP for a Parks Reservation System. MDWFP is seeking a next generation, vendor hosted, Parks Reservation System that utilizes newer technology and new and improved functionality for MDWFP operations and State Park customers.  Proposals are due July 29, 2021.
  • The Rhode Island Department of Administration, on behalf of the Department of Administration / Division of Information Technology (DoIT), released an RFP for IT Disaster Recovery Services. DoIT requires a hosting facility to provide colocation and data processing services to its users in the event its own site(s) or systems operating therein unexpectedly become non-operational for an extended length of time. Proposals are due July 23, 2021.
