A recap of procurement activity in the SLED General Government Services market in May 2021.

The month of May saw a decrease in the number of General Government Services solicitations over April, decreasing by about 6%. The majority of the solicitations issued had a primary requirement of Professional Services, at about 70%, with the remaining 30% having a primary requirement of Information Technology. The Public Finance vertical saw the most solicitations, followed by Economic Development/Regulation, Community Development, and Natural Resources/Environment. The three States with the most procurement activity in May were California, Texas, and New York, while Vermont, Delaware, and Wyoming had the least.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Arizona State Parks and Trails (ASPT) has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for the Arizona State Parks & Trails Reservation, Point of Sales, Website and Call Center. ASPT is looking to implement an integrated centralized reservation system (CRS), point of sale (POS) with centralized inventory management, reservation and operational website, and event management system. Proposals are due by July 9, 2021.
  • The Mecklenburg County Office of the Tax Collector (OTC) and County Assessor's Office (CAO) released an RFP for Third-Party Print and Mailing Services. The county is looking to utilize a third-party mailing service in order to ensure that bills, letters, licenses, and notices are sent within the required time frame.  Proposals are due June 9, 2021.
  • The County of Los Angeles Internal Services Department (ISD) issued an RFP for an Information Technology Managed Services Provider. The county looks to gain operational efficiencies, scalability, and access to a diverse and skilled workforce by implementing a managed service and VMS of this nature. Proposals are due June 28, 2021.
