A quarterly recap of SLED General Government Services solicitation releases.
The second quarter of 2023 saw a decrease in the general government services market compared to the previous quarter. The number of bids decreased from 58,875 in Q1 2023 to 56,914 in Q2 2023, for a decrease of 3.4%.
Architecture, engineering, and construction bids made up 65% of bids released in the general government services market in the second quarter. Bids with a primary requirement of professional services made up 27% of bids, while information technology bids made up 8% of bids released in the general government services market. General Government Services saw the most released bids of these verticals at about 68%, followed by Community Development at 14%, Economic Development/Regulation at 8%, Public Finance at 7%, and then lastly Natural Resources/Environment at 3%.
California released the highest amount of general government services bids in Q2 2023 at 5,234 bids, followed by Texas and Florida followed close behind with 3,435 and 2,833 bids released, respectively. Together, these three states made up 20% of all general government services bids released. Delaware, Nevada, and Vermont released the fewest number of bids in the general government services market during Q2 2023.
Notable Solicitation Release:
The Arizona Department of Administration has released a solicitation for Professional Development Consultation and Training Services. The department is seeking to establish one or more statewide contracts to provide training, leadership, professional development, and related consultation services for all state agencies, boards, and commissions, as well as participating state cooperative members. Proposals are due July 19, 2023.
